Bring On The New Year

As I come to the end of 2011 and prepare to begin 2012, I am as excited as ever about life and its opportunities. Next week I'll be back in Austin with Larry Seyer as we hope to finish our music project of electronica, jazz-inspired instrumental music. We are both really pumped about the twelve songs that we've written. Our group is called Ra's Pyramid, and the album is called "Ascension." We still need to add some tracks, and then mix and master it. Not sure we can get it finished this week, but we'll give it our best shot.

I also just got a call from my friend and fellow musician Rob Aronstein, asking me to do a dueling piano act with him again. We did some shows together in the Capital District a few years ago, and we always had so much fun, we decided to do it again. I'm psyched about it - Rob is one of my all-time favorite piano players, a great entertainer and a fabulous human being. Our first show will be in February.

The TMI workshops have been great, and I have settled on my monologue for the 2012 season. It is tentatively entitled "The Big Bang," and it is intense and funny as well. I'm looking forward to our performances, with the first one coming in February.

I stopped acting with Murder Cafe, only because I have so many other obligations that I wasn't able to keep up with their schedule. I was having to miss too many rehearsals and performances. I miss the hilarity of the shows and the great actors I worked with, and I wish them well as they continue on.

I hope all of you have a wonderful, creative 2012, and I sincerely wish for peace on Earth.
