Marta is a musician, W.I.T.S. Certified Personal Trainer, music and French teacher as well as an author, and she loves to share her joy and excitement for life with others.
As a pianist, singer and keyboard player, Marta plays with the Secret City Band at venues in New York City and Woodstock, NY. She also accompanies Secret City leader and singer Chris Wells as a duo in various settings.
Marta also accompanies silent films on piano, primarily at the Rosendale Theatre in Rosendale, NY. She plays organ in churches and does free-lance work with other musicians.
Marta is a fitness enthusiast and has been swimming and working out regularly for many years. She is a certified Personal Trainer through the W.I.T.S. organization, a highly respected leader in the fitness industry. She works individually with clients and offers group classes.
A dedicated and enthusiastic teacher, Marta gives lessons in popular singing, piano and composition at Dutchess Community College in Poughkeepsie, NY and at her home in Stone Ridge, NY.
She speaks French, Mandarin and Italian, and is fascinated by the ways in which people express themselves. She offers lessons in French at her home, providing a comfortable and supportive environment for learning.
An author, in 2012 Marta released her first book "Dream, Believe, Create," about creating the life of your dreams. In 2016 she published a book about Robert Adsit, a very creative artist and musician who has had an enormous influence on her life and music. That book is entitled "The Art and Life of Robert J. Adsit." Both books are available on this site.
An actor as well, she has played various characters with Murder Cafe dinner shows. Marta also plays one of Jane Fonda's friends in the 2011 movie "Peace, Love and Misunderstanding." She is a background actor and body double in the new film "Late Phases," and appears in several other films as well.
