About Marta
Marta is a musician, personal trainer, teacher and author. She loves to share her joy and excitement for life with others.
A pianist and singer, Marta has a show called Marta's Air Heart - Piano Improv and More. With guest artists such as dancers, improv actors, painters and more, she takes prompts from the audience. Then she and one or more of her cohorts spontaneously bring that prompt to life with music and action. Since each new idea from the audience is different, sometimes funny, sometimes deep, every single show is different, joyous and exciting.
Marta plays piano for silent films and theatrical productions, and also plays piano and synthesizer with the Secret City Band. She loves to play all kinds of music, whether it be rock, blues, classical, ragtime, pop or improvisation.
She has also collaborated and composed with guitarist and Grammy-winning engineer Larry Seyer, as Ra's Pyramid. The duo released the 2013 album "Ascension," on which she plays piano and synthesizer. This is available on Spotify by searching for her by name, since Spotify won't let music appear if the band name has an apostrophe! Together Larry and Marta created music that takes the listener on a magical, musical journey to a land of exotic, mystical places. Ra's Pyramid recently released “The Way Through”, a musical video which is available now on YouTube and includes drum tracks by the amazing Tom Brechtlein.
A fitness enthusiast, Marta has been working out regularly for many years, . She is aware of the need for people to keep in shape as they go through life to maintain their strength, flexibility and balance, and she wants to help. As a result, in 2018 Marta got her certification as a personal trainer through the W.I.T.S. organization, a highly respected leader in the fitness industry. She works individually with clients in her private gym at her home in Stone Ridge, NY, as well as offering Zoom sessions to people wherever they live. She has posted many minute-long videos on Facebook, YouTube and TikTok, titled A Minute with Marta, where she shows simple things to do every day.
A dedicated and enthusiastic teacher, Marta gives lessons in popular singing, piano and composition at her home in Stone Ridge, NY. She speaks French and a little Mandarin and Italian, and is fascinated by the ways in which people express themselves. She offers lessons in French, providing a comfortable and supportive environment for learning.
An author, in 2012 Marta released her first book "Dream, Believe, Create," about creating the life of your dreams. In 2016 she published a book about Robert Adsit, a very creative artist and musician who has had an enormous influence on her life and music. That book is entitled "The Art and Life of Robert J.
